I was unloading boxes at work and was lifting a 27.5kg box onto a shelf at shoulder height, when I experienced pain in my shoulder and dropped the box.  It felt like I dislocated it and I did not know what to do next.

Following this incident, I was reviewed by my GP, physiotherapist and an orthopaedic specialist who confirmed that I had sustained an anteroinferior dislocation of my right shoulder.

I was a chef at the time of the accident and could not return to work due to my significant shoulder injury. I continue to suffer from ongoing shoulder pain which affects my day-day activities.
